Share The Ride NC provides transportation resources for UNCA students including Carpool, Transit, Telework, and Vanpool for local and regional transportation.

Using your home and work or school addresses, you will be matched to nearby commuters with similar schedules. Your home address will never appear on match lists. When you receive your list of matches, you may choose who to contact. There are no obligations or requirements.

North Carolina Intercity Bus Service

The N.C. Department of Transportation recognizes the importance of providing intercity bus connections between urban and rural communities throughout North Carolina. NCDOT provides funding for 11 routes that offer daily service for North Carolinians and provides connections to a larger national intercity bus network.​ NCDOT continues to expand and improve its intercity bus program each year to better serve the residents of North Carolina.

Asheville Regional Airport

Asheville is home to the Asheville Regional Airport which is located in Fletcher on the Buncombe County / Henderson County line (61 Terminal Drive, Fletcher, N.C. 28732). The airport is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It has several amenities, including free wi-fi, a restaurant in the terminal, and gate area power-outlets. Allegiant, Delta, United, Jet Blue and American (U.S. Airways) all fly to/from AVL.
