Asheville Regional Airport

Asheville is home to the Asheville Regional Airport which is located in Fletcher on the Buncombe County / Henderson County line (61 Terminal Drive, Fletcher, N.C. 28732). The airport is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It has several amenities, including free wifi, restaurant in the terminal, and gate area power-outlets. Allegiant, Delta, United and American (U.S. Airways) all fly to/from AVL. Non-stop flights are available to:

  • Charlotte (CLT)
  • Chicago (ORD)
  • Detroit (DTW)
  • Fort Lauderdale (FLL)
  • Newark (EWR)
  • New York (LGA)
  • Orlando Sanford (SFB)

UNC Asheville Airport Shuttle

Transportation Services provides shuttle service between campus and the Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) for students departing and returning from holiday breaks. Information will be posted here when the shuttles are available.

Please note that the UNC Asheville shuttle is not responsible for missed flights. Please plan accordingly as delays, traffic, and other events can delay transport. Please plan extra time into your trip so as not to miss your flight.
